Pop Culture | On My Star Wars Merch Wish List | May 4th Special!

It’s May 4th! And everyone knows what that means, regardless of whether you’re a fan or not. Today is a celebration of one of the biggest, most imaginative, inspiring franchises out there – Star Wars. If you read My Disney Confessions post, you’ll know I haven’t been part of the SW fandom for very long as I only just watched the original trilogy. I never expected that Star Wars would be a movie series that I’d like, but I was wrong… I actually really enjoyed them! I don’t currently own any Star Wars merchandise what-so-ever, so, in honour of today’s date, here’s what’s on my Star Wars Merch Wish List!

Hot Topic x Her Universe Dresses
Even before I was a fan of Star Wars, I admit that I’ve always loved these beautiful dresses. When it comes to adult fandom clothing I much prefer a more subtle ‘nod’ to franchises rather than say a t-shirt with a huge face of Chewie on the front with an “AAAAARHG” slogan underneath. The best thing about Her Universe is that they always include current trends with their latest collections so you can be both geeky and stylish. These dresses are perfect for a night out, Disney-Bounding, or just about any fun occasion. I couldn’t choose one favourite, so pictured are the 4 I like most: Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Leia and BB-8. They’re available in Plus Sizes too! You can find them online at Hot Topic.

 

Disney Store x Her Universe Vest Tops
By the same brand who created the dresses above, these vest tops are just so pretty! I love the floral background patterns that give them a more classy, feminine touch. They’re perfect for layering too! You can find them online at US Disney Store.

 

Irregular Choice Shoe Collection
In a galaxy not too far away, Irregular Choice released a line of Star Wars heels and flats. They sold so well, that IC have created a “Phase 2”, a second Star Wars collection! Some of the designs are still to be revealed, but the unveiling of these gorgeous R2-D2 flats are a must for me. These will be available from most Irregular Choice stockists as well as the Irregular Choice official website.

 

Loungefly Exclusive Handbags/Purses
I love everything about these handbags; the shape, the size, the style… They’re perfect! I’m currently having a hard time deciding whether I prefer the R2-D2 or the Darth Vader design… However, my favourite purse of the line is the incredibly cute C-3PO! Original Trilogy Mini Tsum Tsum Collection
Okay, so if you know me, you’ll know how intensely addicted I am to collecting Tsum-Tsums! One of the only collections I’m missing is the Star Wars collection. I want the original trilogy in mini size the most for… well… obvious reasons. Plus, they are simply the cutest! You can purchase these at Disney Store both in-store and online, as well as in Disney Parks.

 

Ewok Plushies
As a lover of all things cute and cuddly, the Ewoks from Return Of The Jedi were the BEST! I want to hug them all! That’s the exact reason I want an Ewok plushie. Or two. Or six… The basket pictured above would’ve been ideal for me, but being limited edition, it’s currently sold out. Never mind though, as Wicket and his pals are still available to purchase at Disney Store (both in-store and online) and Disney Parks!
