Pop Culture | Top 10 Tuesday | Disney Soundtracks

It’s time for Top 10 Tuesday again! Every other Tuesday I will post a Top 10 Countdown of my fave nerdy fandom goodness. This week I’ve been listening to a tonne of Disney tunes so that can only mean one thing… Here are my top 10 favourite Disney soundtracks!

Just to clarify, these are my favourite full Disney movie soundtracks to listen to all the way through without skipping songs, but some of my individual fave songs might not be on these soundtracks. All soundtracks included are from the Disney Animated Classics canon. (I’ll post my all-time favourite Disney songs another time!)

PERSONAL FAVOURITE: Beauty And The Beast

So, there you have it! It was REALLY HARD to decide between The Little Mermaid and Beauty And The Beast as my all-time favourite. I can listen to both soundtracks all the way through, including the scores (I’m not the biggest fan of classical music and as a result, I’m not over keen on scores, unless they’re outstanding of course!). In the end, The Little Mermaid just lost out because I really don’t like Les Poissons that much, the song the annoying Chef Louis sings.

I know what you’re all thinking… “Where’s Mulan?!”. Well… I’m going to be completely honest here – while I love the movie, I’m not the biggest fan of the music from Mulan, which was why I wasn’t that phased when the live action was rumoured to not be including the songs. I like Reflection and I’ll Make A Man Out Of You, but that’s literally it (I actually preferred the music of the sequel, so make sure you watch Mulan II!)

Tarzan, Pocahontas, Lilo & Stitch, Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan, Cinderella and Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs all just missed out on being included on my list! I know my countdown today was mostly 90’s onwards content only, but let’s be honest – that’s when all the best Disney soundtracks were created!

I hope you all enjoyed today’s Top 10 Tuesday. Let me know your favourite Disney soundtracks in the comments!image

  1. This is a great list! I wholeheartedly agree with Moana being on this list, I think I catch myself singing You’re Welcome almost every day!
